Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17
the grandeur of the whole affair.the crux of performing arts.for every single individual, whatever their reason for joining any performing art, be it passion or just for the sake of joining a cca, or even for a girl or guy, everyone falls in the same category in this particular competition.the judged.months of training, weeks of practising, endless days and hours of relentless dancing, singing, playing or acting.all for that few minutes of performing on the stage.but how rewarding it is, that few minutes.the pressure that mounts from the minute one steps into the concert hall.the nervous jokes we crack when we want to keep from thinking about the negative things that might happen.and many do crack under that pressure that amounts to more than that of a oven switched on to 200degrees celsius for hours.or that or 700'000 miles beneath the surface of the atlantic ocean.tears.forced laughter.but above all, the joy of performing overcomes everything else.for it is SYF.
it is like a drug, performing on the stage is.after your very first time, you want to experience it again.despite knowing what you'll be going through.the hours of torture just for that minutes, maybe hour of performing your particular talent.the addictive taste of it all.nothing can match it.for it is SYF.
the wait of it all.the relief of the end of everything.the knowledge that the next chance you might have would be two whole years later.the silent nervous thoughts.the anxious waiting.the tension mounts.and finally, the call comes.be it, bronze, silver, gold, or gold with honours.the power of the whole festival simply takes your breath away.for it is SYF.
